The CMS Student Council is comprised of three students from each grade level that are chosen by their peers in the fall. The process begins by having teachers submit names of students that possess the qualities and characteristics needed to best represent the student body. From there, each grade level is given a list of the nominees from which they vote for three candidates. The students with the most votes represent their grade level for that school year. These students help with various activities throughout the school year to include Open House, Veteran's Day, Title I Parent Nights, Retired Teacher's Luncheon, CMS Cupcake Chase fundraising event, and grade level Field Day Concessions. Additionally, the group meets once each semester with the principal to discuss various items and concerns throughout the school.
