History of CMS
Central Middle School, the first middle school in Carroll County, Georgia, opened in the Fall of 1992 with approximately 700 students enrolled. At that point in time, Central Middle was the receiving school of Central Elementary and the feeder school for Central High. Presently, CMS receives students from Sharp Creek, Roopville, Whitesburg, and Central Elementary Schools, and the enrollment is approximately 1,000 students. The goal of "putting students first with quality and excellence" is carried out in a strong academic program and supported by an exemplary connections program.
