My name is Jennifer Leatherman, and I am the Instructional Coach at Central Middle School. I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I spent my first ten years teaching in Douglas County at Fairplay Middle School. After my family relocated to Haralson County, I taught K-5 gifted students in Haralson County for one year before transferring to Bremen City Schools. At Bremen, I taught math for twelve years. I received my Bachelor Degree in Middle Grades Education from The University of West Georgia. I completed a Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. I also completed a Specialist Degree add-on program for Educational Leadership from The University of Georgia. I have additional certifications in gifted and ESOL.
I have been married to my husband for 20+ years. We have two teenage sons, Luke and Logan. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, and spending time with my dog, Bo. I love all things EdTech, listening to podcasts on teaching and coaching strategies, and helping teachers refine their practice.
