My name is Donovan Edwards, and I currently teach 7th grade ECS math with other math co-teachers. I grew up and graduated from high school in Fitzgerald, GA in 1987.  I met Cathy Kiess in 1987 at a small church in Douglas County. We married in 1991 and promptly moved to Lakeland, FL. After having attended West GA College and Kennesaw College, I finally settled into Southeastern, a small Bible college in Lakeland. I graduated from Southeastern in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in middle school math education.  Cathy and I moved back home to Georgia in 1997. I later earned a master's degree in middle school math education from KSU in Kennesaw, GA. My wife and I have two sons, Van and Nate.          

I have taught math for 26 years.  My first year was in Bartow, FL, at a Juvenile Detention Center.  I later taught 12 years for Cobb County at Floyd Middle in Mableton, GA.  We moved to Villa Rica over the spring break of 2010, and I took a teaching position at Central Middle School at the end of that summer.  In my spare time I love to fish with my sons and my dad and feed the deer in the woods behind my house. I also like building fires in the winter. It's way colder up here than where I grew up in south Georgia.
